IDQ Webinars: with Mialy Andriamananjara
Building a flexible metadata model for search and discovery
With big data comes the necessity to manage big metadata. Metadata now comes in many forms : rights and licensing metadata, administrative metadata, descriptive metadata, usage metadata, etc... They come from many disparate sources and they are needed to facilitate search and discovery of information assets. Such a task proves a difficult one, as it is nearly impossible to predict all and any future metadata requirements. It is however possible to create a flexible metamodel that accommodates harvesting, enriching and cataloging various forms of metadata. This webinar proposes such a flexible metamodel to enable search and discovery of information assets.
