Certification for the Information Quality Professional: an overview
Abstract:
Find out more about the IQCP (Information Quality Certified Professional) Program from the IAIDQ. Christian Walenta, President of the IAIDQ, will provide an overview of the IQCP and the benefits for individuals and organizations. He will describe how the program works and how IQ Professional can apply for it. Christian will also present feedback from the inaugural exam administrated in June/July 2011.
This webinar is for anybody who wants to learn about the IQCP certification and is interested in pursuing the exam based certification.

About the Author
Christian Walenta has held a variety of professional and management positions with IBM in Germany , the UK and the USA . His professional experience of more than 20 years includes information management, data warehousing, management of supply chain systems, business development and project management.
Christian is a recognized leader in Information Management (IM) at IBM and currently acts in a Senior Advisor role to the Enterprise Business Information organization. Prior to it, he lead IBM's Enterprise Information Management Office, responsible for providing information management strategy, IM programs and Data Governance enterprise wide. He developed and implemented Information Quality programs for IBM's Supply Chain and has extensive practical experience in all aspects of Information Management, including setting overall IM strategies, implementing data stewardship and governance programs for complex organizations and driving Information Management as continuous culture change. He was recognized 2006 for his achievements in Information Management with an Outstanding Innovation Award from IBM.
Mr. Walenta has been a speaker on Information Quality management at conferences. He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a certified IBM Executive Project Manager. He holds a Master degree in Computer Science and Business Administration, as well as an MBA in International and Strategic Management.
Christian emigrated from Germany in the 1990's, but frequently travels with his family back to Germany and other places in Europe. Mr. Walenta now lives with his wife and three daughters in the United States in upstate New York.
