Abstract:

Celebrate World Quality Day with IAIDQ by reflecting on your past successes and future challenges.

At this Webinar, members of the IAIDQ Board of Directors will share their experiences in the information and data quality profession by discussing a key lesson-learned that has reshaped their work practices for the better.

The IAIDQ Director of Publicity will walk through its products and services, to ensure that all members and non-members are aware of what is readily available. Also, the IAIDQ President will discuss on the Certified Information Quality Professional program, which will detail the progress of the certification program to date, and the subject matter that this program will encompass.

The session will conclude with an opportunity for members and non-members to ask questions and share in the dialogue. Board would like to hear about your interests, concerns, and challenges. Take this opportunity to explore and share ideas on how the Association can better serve you.

ChristianChristian Walenta, IAIDQ President, is a recognized leader in Information Management (IM) at IBM and currently acts in a Senior Advisor role to the Enterprise Business Information organization. He was recognized 2006 for his achievements in Information Management with an Outstanding Innovation Award from IBM.

LauraLaura Sebastian-Coleman, IAIDQ Director of Member Services, is a data quality manager at Ingenix, a business unit of UnitedHealth Group. She is responsible for a program of data quality measurement, analysis and reporting for health analytic applications.

LauraHeather Richards, IAIDQ Director of Publicity, lives in Victoria, British Columbia in Canada, where she works for the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), where she has been a program lead for over six years in the Data Quality Department and is currently on secondment as a program consultant for the Activity-Based Funding Unit. She has served on the IAIDQ Board since 2010.

PiyushPiyush Malik, IAIDQ Director of Partner Relations, lives in Silicon Valley, California USA and has served IAIDQ as convenor of the Ask-the-Expert forum from 2007-2008, and as board member since 2009. Following his university training in Delhi, he now has an international role with IBM Global Services

Dr Tony O'Brien, is a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Business School as Sheffield Hallam University focussing upon Finance, Accounting and Business Systems. He previously worked for over forty years as an accountant engaged in business finance, general management, IT and the management and implementation of Information Systems. He has worked for a number of large organisations including Shell, British Gypsum, British Oxygen, Great Universal Stores and Remploy. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Nottingham Business School and an MBA from Leeds Business School.
