Information Quality Applied - A Book Review
Daragh O Brien
Just before Christmas I took delivery of my copy of Larry English's long awaited follow-up to his first book Improving Data Warehouse and Business Information Quality, now a decade old. I wasn't sure what to expect from this new book.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this new book. If you're looking for a radical new treatise on Information Quality Management, full of totally new ideas and bleeding edge technology or concepts then this is not the book for you. However, if you're searching for a book that presents incremental improvements on well proven approaches with a sound lineage in Quality Management principles then Information Quality Applied is one you would do well to invest in.
Larry has done a great job producing a book that revisits and refreshes his TIQMTM (Total Information Quality Management) methodology, with clear Step-by-Step guides and suggested Best Practices taking up most of the first half of the book.
