IQ in the Language of Business:
Part 1 — Reframing Information Quality

This article series is based, in part, on a presentation that I have used in various conferences through 2005. Additional content is based on work I’ve been doing in my day-job, which relates to the content of my presentation.

In this opening article I would like to discuss the concept of ‘Reframing’ in Information Quality Management (IQM). In the next few articles, I will cover topics relating to:

  • the important role of language in ‘selling’ Information Quality Management;
  • the ‘new’ drivers for Information Quality Management; and
  • presenting the IQ agenda in alignment with the core strategy of your organization.
