Please join us for our upcoming Ask the expert session on August 6th. This Ask The Expert session will be a groundbreaking one — both from a content and presentation style perspective.
IAIDQ & UALR recently concluded an industry benchmark: "The State of information and Data Governance Report", the results of which have already been published on our website. This session will give you an opportunity to interact with the primary authors of this study and ask deeper probing questions.
As a forward leap from prior Ask the expert events, we will be using a webinar based format to host this session. To enable better interaction of the audience with our Information Quality Experts, be sure to submit your questions in advance to either of the moderators:

Dr Elizabeth Pierce -
is an Associate Professor of Information Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR).Write to expierce [AT] ualr.edu
She joined the faculty in Fall 2006 as part of UALR's efforts to launch the first Master of Science in Information Quality. Prior to coming to UALR, Elizabeth Pierce taught for 11 years at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She holds a PhD in Statistics & Management Science from the University of Michigan, an MS in Computer Science from Iona College, and BS degrees in Quantitative Business Analy sis and Mathematics from Penn State.
C. Lwanga Yonke -
is a seasoned information quality and information management expert and leader.Direct email link or
write to Lwanga.Yonke [AT] iaidq.orgHe has successfully designed and implemented projects in multiple areas including information quality, data governance, business intelligence, data warehousing and data architecture. His initial experience is in petroleum engineering and operations. An ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, he holds an MBA from California State University and a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. Lwanga Yonke is a founding member of the International Association for Information and Data Quality (IAIDQ) and currently serves as an Advisor to the IAIDQ Board.
Abstract :
Interested about data governance and data stewardship? Curious to learn more about what others are doing? Wondering how to get star ted with data governance? If so, then this Ask-The-Expert session is for you! Dr Pierce and Lwanga Yonke will review the main findings and implications of a recent survey designed to gain insight on and document how todays organizations are governing their information assets. The survey was jointly conducted by IAIDQ and the Information Quality Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). Topics covered include:
- the major trends in data governance
- the structure and focus of existing data governance efforts
- the effectiveness of these data governance efforts.
